Technical Support/Call Center Supervisor

Job Description

We are currently seeking a Technical Support/Call Center Supervisor to lead the Smithville Technical Support department. This position is responsible for providing direction and vision to the Technical Support staff and all operational aspects of the Call Center, including training, scheduling and coordinating daily operations. Other duties include developing and documenting processes and establishing and monitoring metrics. Must possess a minimum of a related associates degree in a technical field or equivalent experience, experience in direct technical support with customers, and a working knowledge of IP networking, Intel hardware, and broadband technology. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and E-mail clients is also required, as well as excellent skills in customer service and communication (both written and oral). Prior supervisory experience within a call center is highly desirable. This is an ideal position for a motivated, positive team player that is committed to exceptional customer service. The qualified candidate must have experience and strong skills in customer service, retail sales, computer applications, keyboarding, and effective communication. Familiarity and experience with advanced technology strongly desired. Ability to work under pressure, pay attention to detail, have a positive attitude, multi-task, manage heavy telephone volume and accurately handle money is essential. Candidate will be expected to maintain quality, time, sales and production standards. Successful completion of a customer service pre-employment and post-employment skills test is required. Must have five years work related customer service experience or an associate's degree.

Associate Engineer

Job Description

Smithville Telephone is seeking an RF Engineer join their team. Primary job duties include, but are not limited to, the design, development, deployment and optimization of a Wireless Network using the AWS frequency. This position is also responsible for the fiber backhaul network design. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent work experience required. Engineer in Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE) preferred. Two or more years of cellular or telecommunications industry experience preferred. Must be familiar with digital communications, to include fiber and metro Ethernet networks.
